PositionThe University of Kentucky, College of Nursing Graduate DNP Program is seeking a Special Title Series (tenure-eligible) Assistant or Associate Professor (open-rank). This is a 12‑month appointment with an anticipated distribution of effort of 60‑80% teaching and advising, 0‑20% clinical practice activities, 15% research and scholarly activity, and 5% service and professional development, reviewed annually. The anticipated start date is January 1, 2026, but no later than July 1, 2026.
This position will remain open until filled.
- Assist in MSN/DNP program instruction to expand the Healthcare Systems Leadership Program (ENL) specialty.
- Design, implement, and evaluate didactic and clinical courses in the College’s Graduate Nursing programs.
- Plan and evaluate student clinical experiences and advise students in the DNP program.
- Serve as a liaison between the College and clinical agencies for student placements, participating as an interprofessional team member.
- Collaborate with UK Healthcare providers, administrators, and staff to assess, develop, and evaluate leadership strategies.
- Participate in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs, projects, scholarship, and research.
- Submit manuscripts for publication and present scholarly activities in peer‑reviewed venues.
- Serve as an investigator or co‑investigator on evidence‑based practice or research projects and grant proposals.
- Earned PhD or DNP nursing degree with demonstrated expertise in nursing administration and evidence‑based practice.
- Active Kentucky license as a prepared registered nurse.
- Minimum of 5 years of practice and academic experience.
- Experience in an Executive Nursing Leadership role is preferred.
