Job SummaryTutor:
Assist student‑athletes in UK Athletics in understanding course materials and promoting independent learning during individual sessions.
Mentor:
Provide one‑on‑one instruction that assists student‑athletes to develop time management techniques and improve study skills, helping them organize academic, athletic, and personal responsibilities and improve deficient study skills and habits.
Tutors and mentors maintain confidentiality, report on time, prepare and submit accurate tutor report forms, follow policies of CATS, UKAA, SEC, NCAA and University of Kentucky, report academic dishonesty concerns, complete additional duties assigned by the Academic Services Counselor, work with UKAA staff, attend mandatory orientation and bring an unofficial transcript.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities- Received a B or better in the course they will tutor.
- Knowledge of a typical college syllabus, skill to build calendars and ability to help students prioritize assignments.
