Job Title: Temporary Assistant Professor in Architecture

The School of Architecture seeks a full‑time, tenure‑ineligible Temporary Assistant Professor for the 2026‑27 academic year to teach design studios and architecture‑related electives. The position provides opportunities to teach motivated students, advance a design research agenda, and share research in public lectures.

• Teach design studios and architecture‑related electives during the academic year.
• Develop and deliver course content in history and theory of architecture, design innovation, experimentation, building technology, and fabrication.
• Mentor and evaluate students in studio and other design courses.
• Prepare and present design research; share research through public lectures to college and professional partners.

• Earned a professional degree in architecture (M.Arch or Ph.D.).
• Professional experience in architecture preferred.
• Teaching experience in design studios required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with students, faculty, staff, and constituencies.
• Demonstrated passion for innovative ideas about preparing students for the future.
• Preference for candidates with licensure, teaching and work experience in a progressive architectural/design construction practice, and a track record of design research.
