Job Summary
POWER Peer Educator (Learning Bar) supports alcohol risk reduction lessons at the Learning Bar and presents alcohol and other drug risk reduction information to varying audiences, including student groups, residence halls, and academic classes. The role also provides scheduled programming (education, resources, skill development, and activities) through the POWER Unit.
Responsibilities- Lead alcohol risk reduction lessons at the Learning Bar.
- Present alcohol and other drug risk reduction information to student groups, residence halls, and academic classes.
- Develop and deliver scheduled programming including education, resources, skill development, and activities through the POWER Unit.
- Currently enrolled as a University of Kentucky student.
- Preferred experience:
public speaking, classroom management, or acting.
Standing for long periods of time; able to lift objects up to 30 lbs.
Work Hours5–15 hours per week, primarily days. Work schedule may vary based on student availability.
