Serves as educational leader, supporting the principal and providing leadership to the SBDM Council. Assumes responsibilities as designated by the school principal and adheres to educational policies, mandates, and school plans to affect and supervise school programs and student academic and social‑emotional development.

• Assists the principal in instructional and operational responsibilities.
• Supervises and evaluates certified and classified personnel as assigned by the principal.
• Serves as building supervisor during the principal’s absence and assists in implementing the roles and responsibilities of the school administrator.
• Analyzes data to inform decisions about curriculum, instruction and assessment to increase student achievement.
• Communicates openly and often with the principal and all other staff members.
• Serves as a communication link between school and home.
• Assumes a leadership role with the SBDM Council, addressing areas within council authority.
• Directs and assists in preparing all reports required through assigned responsibilities.
• Ensures observation of all federal, state, district and school policies, procedures and safety regulations.
• Assists in supervision of the student‑teacher and new employee induction programs.
• Participates in establishing and maintaining community relations, including use of the school facility.
• Cooperates as consultant and advisor to central administrative staff and supervisory personnel as required.
• Demonstrates ability to communicate in more than one language or willingness to learn at novice level proficiency.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Maintains regular attendance.

Knowledge of educational policy, curriculum design, school administration, and leadership practices.

Education and Experience:

• Master’s Degree.
• Three (3) years of successful teaching experience.

Licenses or

Certifications:

• Kentucky Certification as School Principal.

• Work during standing, sitting and/or walking.
• Communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing.
• Use hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
• Bend, squat, crawl, climb, reach.
• Lift, carry, push or pull light weights.

Salary: $65,939 to $109,102 Per Year
