Job SummaryThe Department of Physiology at the University of Kentucky is seeking a tenure‑track faculty member with the primary responsibility of providing physiology instruction to students at the undergraduate, graduate, and professional levels. The successful candidate will participate in existing courses and develop new courses utilizing innovative pedagogies and state‑of‑the‑art technology. The department is housed in modern research facilities with convenient access to core facilities equipped with state‑of‑the‑art instrumentation.
Competitive start‑up funds, independent research space, and professional development will be provided.
- Ph.D. in Physiology or a closely‑related discipline.
- Experience teaching physiology at multiple levels (undergraduate, graduate, and health professional).
- Experience in curriculum management and assessment.
- Strong record of scholarly activity.
- For the rank of Associate or Full Professor: national or international recognition as a scholar.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching as measured by feedback from students, peers, and superiors.
- Excellence in teaching, course administration, and curricular management.
- Ability to conduct educational research and develop innovative instructional approaches.
- Service in education and curriculum development at departmental, college, or university level.
