- Preferred Education:
Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Special Education, or Psychology. Other fields considered if applicant has a strong background in early childhood. - Required Experience:
Experience working with young children, preferably in school or child care settings. - Required
Certifications:
Current negative TB test within the last 2 years (or willingness to obtain one), CPR and First Aid certification within 3 months of employment. Fingerprint background check required upon offer. - Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift children up to 40 pounds, push strollers, get up and down from the floor multiple times a day, and accompany children outdoors at least twice daily.
We are hoping to employ students who are professional, punctual, and understand the importance of maintaining a consistent schedule.
ResponsibilitiesJob duties of a student worker at the ECL include: playing with and supervising young children, assisting classroom teachers with cleaning and organizing, helping with daily routines, reading to children, and accompanying them to the playground and campus walks.
