Vocational Training Instructor at Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP)

This role serves as a training instructor in a vocational or occupational training program within the Education Department of a Federal Bureau of Prisons correctional facility. The instructor may also serve as a program coordinator for other vocational/occupational training programs, ensuring delivery of curriculum and program compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

• Select and develop curricula focused on the appropriate vocational training area.
• Develop a curriculum design and record‑keeping system to organize and track student progress through identified coursework.
• Ensure the training program(s) are implemented and delivered in compliance with Bureau policies, Department of Labor and Bureau of Training regulations, and the standards established by other certifying agencies and organizations.
• Serve as apprenticeship program coordinator with responsibility for coordinating various occupational training programs and classes.
• Develop, review and evaluate the vocational trades program and its components.
• Maintain security of the institution alongside all other correctional institution employees.
