State Fire Rescue Training Area 15/BCTC is seeking qualified and motivated candidates for the position of EMS-Paramedic Instructor/Program Director.
Job Duties- Administration, organization, and supervision of the educational program
- Continuous quality review and improvement of the educational program
- Long range planning and ongoing development of the program
- Effectiveness of the program, including instruction and faculty, with systems in place to demonstrate the effectiveness of the program
- Cooperative involvement with the medical director
- Orientation/training and supervision of clinical and field internship preceptors
- The Program Director must be responsible for all aspects of the program, including, but not limited to:
Effectiveness and quality of fulfillment of responsibilities delegated to another qualified individual - Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree and minimum of four (4) years certified or licensed as a Paramedic.
- Provide documentation that two (2) years of the four (4) years’ experience required is experience providing care with an EMS organization that complies with the requirements.
- Be knowledgeable about the current versions of the National EMS Scope of Practice and National EMS Education Standards and evidence-informed clinical practice.
- Provide proof of completion of a KBEMS approved EMS educator course that meets the objectives of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and possess a valid KBEMS Level III Instructor certification.
