Job Summary

The Von Allmen School of Accountancy at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY invites applications for Lecturer of Accountancy positions with a potential start date of January 1, 2027 or August 1, 2027. The selected candidates will be appointed to a full-time, nine-month, non-tenure-eligible faculty position for an initial two-year period, which has the potential for renewal and for promotion to Senior Lecturer after five years.

Education and Experience Requirements
  • Master’s degree in accounting or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Preferred:
    Professional licensure/certification (CPA, CMA, CFA), significant accounting-related work experience, a doctoral degree (PhD, DBA), and prior teaching experience.
Responsibilities
  • Teach up to four courses per semester in accounting, with the ability to teach both introductory and advanced courses.
  • Fulfill service duties related to the various programs in the school.
  • Initial distribution of effort: 90% teaching, 10% service, subject to determination by the Director based on experience and expertise.
