Garfield Middle School, BRIDGES self-contained unit, school year; not to exceed six hours and 30 minutes per day (6.5 hours) with 30 minutes unpaid lunch; must have or obtain an education aide permit from the Ohio Department of Education and meet the guidelines of Every Student Succeeds Act; responsible to building principal and/or designee.
To Meet ESSA Requirements- Have earned at least 48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours from an Institution of Higher Education.
- Hold at least an Associate's Degree.
- Successfully completed the ODE State Mandated Para Assessment.
Paraprofessionals may be required to perform various medical and/or health-related procedures, including lifting, toileting, and feeding, as part of their job duties. In situations where invasive medical procedures are required, specific training will be provided.
