University of Georgia, a Division I member of the Southeast Conference, is seeking an Academic Services Intern to support academic services related to the UGAAA tutoring program and other athletic department initiatives.
Duties / Responsibilities- Assist the Academic Services Team with daily operations and related administrative tasks of the UGAAA tutoring program – 50 % of time
- Assist the Associate Director of Academic Services with executive tasks – 30 % of time
- Oversee the Rankin Support Staff Council – 10 % of time
- Other duties as assigned – 10 % of time
- Master’s degree or progress toward a Master’s degree preferably in Education, Higher Education, Psychology, Sport Management, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience in collegiate athletics academic support, higher education, teaching, or a related field.
- Familiarity with NCAA rules and regulations.
- Physical demands: stand, walk, reach with hands and arms; occasionally sit, talk or hear; lift or move up to 20 lbs; driving required.
- Background investigation and, if applicable, pre‑employment drug test.
