Program Coordinator I

Support Education, Research, and Operations in Kentucky's Distilled Spirits Industry The University of Kentucky is seeking a Program Coordinator I to support the James

B. Beam Institute within the Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment. This role provides critical coordination for educational programs, laboratory and distillery operations, and regulatory recordkeeping that support both student learning and industry engagement. Working closely with faculty, staff, students, and external partners, this position helps ensure the smooth operation of programs that serve Kentucky's bourbon and distilled spirits industry.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate and support instructional activities, coursework, workshops, and special events associated with the James

    B. Beam Institute
  • Assist with program scheduling, logistics, materials preparation, and educational program delivery
  • Maintain operational records, documentation, and reporting related to laboratory and distillery activities
  • Support compliance efforts, including safety procedures, equipment documentation, and regulatory recordkeeping
  • Coordinate maintenance and readiness of laboratory and distillery equipment and facilities
  • Monitor inventory, equipment status, and operational needs to support teaching and program activities
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures, training materials, and workflow improvements
  • Serve as a resource for faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders regarding program operations
