Assistant Dean for Education serves as the leadership for the educational programs of the Ivester School of Nursing.
Position SummaryThe Assistant Dean for Education serves as the Ivester School of Nursing’s academic leader for educational programs and clinical track faculty, reporting directly to the Dean. This position provides strategic and operational leadership for the development, implementation, systematic evaluation, and continuous quality improvement of all degree programs. The Assistant Dean for Education is a key partner to the Dean in advancing the school’s educational mission and its commitment to developing a highly prepared nursing workforce for Georgia and beyond.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Earned doctoral degree (PhD, DNP, or equivalent) in nursing or a closely related field.
- Current or eligibility for registered nurse licensure in the state of Georgia.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in nursing education, including demonstrated leadership in curriculum development, program evaluation, and faculty management.
- Demonstrated evidence of nursing accreditation processes (CCNE or ACEN ) and familiarity with Georgia Board of Nursing regulatory requirements.
- Track record of successful faculty and instructor recruitment, mentorship, and evaluation.
