Position Summary

This is a position as a Laboratory Prep Manager to support the instructional biology instructional laboratories. The position will be responsible for management of the general prep room in support of all laboratory courses in the BIOL Lab Program. This includes but is not limited to the preparation of materials and supplies for multiple laboratory sections, setting up and breaking down laboratory materials, ordering, preparing, and culturing laboratory materials, working with UGA greenhouses and other departments, and maintaining laboratory prep notes.

UGA Haz Mat and Chemical Right to Know training upon hire.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

Broad background in standard laboratory safety and procedures.

Physical Demands

Sometimes heavy lifting of lab equipment, working with chemicals, significant standing and walking.
