FMLA English Teacher – Honors English 2 Temporary Position – Approximately 4 Weeks

Argo Community High School is seeking a qualified English teacher to fill a temporary FMLA leave position for approximately four weeks beginning October 6, 2026.

This position consists of one course preparation:
Honors English 2. The teacher will be responsible for delivering the established curriculum, providing engaging instruction, assessing student learning, maintaining grades and attendance, and supporting a positive classroom environment.

• Teach Honors English 2 using established curriculum and instructional materials.
• Plan and deliver effective daily instruction.
• Assess student work and provide timely feedback.
• Maintain accurate attendance and grade records.
• Communicate with students, families, and school staff as appropriate.
• Follow school and district policies and procedures.

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate English endorsement.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Previous high school English teaching experience preferred.

This is a temporary position covering an FMLA leave for approximately four weeks.
