DescriptionWe're looking for a Water Resources Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join the HMB team!

Key Responsibilities- Assist in the design and analysis of water resource projects, including drinking water and sanitary sewer collection network design.
- Perform hydraulic calculations utilizing computer modeling software and other industry-standard tools.
- Support permitting efforts by preparing technical reports, documentation, and regulatory applications.
- Conduct field investigations, site assessments, and data collection for utility design.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil engineers, environmental specialists, and regulatory agencies.
- Prepare technical drawings, maps, specifications, contract documents, and reports using AutoCAD, GIS, and other relevant software.
- Stay informed about industry regulations, guidelines, and best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- 0-4 years of experience in water resources engineering (internships or co-op experience is applicable).
- Familiarity with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is desired.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office is required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal communication, as well as time management skills
- Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client needs and deadlines, as well as other assigned project parameters
