As an Aircraft Avionics Technician II, you will be responsible for:
- The Level
II Avionics Technician provides advanced, independent maintenance, modification, and repair of electrical and avionics systems on the SOF GLSS rotary‑wing fleets. - The duties of this title will primarily perform tasks independently and play a wide-ranging role in guidance, technical instruction, and specific skill development of less experienced employees.
- This candidate will possess vast and comprehensive technical expertise and specialization for the applicable scope of work.
- The duties will encompass complex problem solving, effective communication skills and broad knowledge within the scope of assignments.
- The duties will include major modifications, thorough troubleshooting, and ensuring all work complies with airworthiness standards while supporting SOF‑specific mission requirements.
This position supports our Special Operations Forces – Global Logistics Support Services contract, which is the U.S. Special Operations Command s (USSOCOM) largest service contract vehicle providing a wide range of tailored logistics, maintenance, and sustainment services.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access and is in direct support of a U.S. government contract that requires a company-sponsored clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications- Specific Aircraft Electrical Experience Proven maintenance on MH‑6 / MH‑60 platforms (or MD‑500 / AH‑MH‑6 equivalents), including major modifications and SOF‑specific upgrades.
- Adjacent Aircraft Experience Familiarity with electrical/avionics systems on CH‑MH‑47 and UH‑MH‑60 airframes; ability to transition between platforms.
- Advanced Structural Techniques
- Avionics Systems – Calibration of navigation, communication, and flight‑control electronics.
- Power Generation & Distribution – Maintenance of generators, batteries, wiring harnesses, and circuit protection devices.
- Electrical Troubleshooting – Expert use of diagnostic tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, avionics test sets).
- Leadership / Mentorship – Experience guiding less‑experienced technicians, reviewing work products, and providing technical direction.
- Certifications – FAA A&P license, DoD/USAF avionics or electrical certification, or equivalent military qualifications preferred.
- Technical Training – Completion of advanced rotor‑wing electrical/avionics courses (e.g., Advanced Rotor‑Wing Electrical Maintenance School).
- Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
