Quality Engineer II

dormakaba is seeking a Quality Engineer II based in Lexington, KY. The Quality Engineer II is responsible for playing a critical role in ensuring product and process quality within the manufacturing environment by leading investigations, developing inspection and testing protocols, and driving continuous improvement projects.

• Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activities for complex quality issues, using structured problem-solving tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, and Pareto analysis
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve inspection and testing procedures to ensure product and process compliance with specifications, standards, and customer requirements
• Analyze production and quality data to identify trends, drive improvement recommendations, and monitor effectiveness of implemented solutions
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure material and component quality, addressing issues and supporting corrective actions as needed

• 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing, quality, or engineering role
• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field) or an equivalent technical degree
• Must be available to travel a few times per year to Indy (approx.
  6)
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools (e.g., Minitab, Excel, or similar quality software)

• Master's degree in engineering or a related field
• ASQ CQE certification or Six Sigma Green Belt
• Experience with supplier quality management and auditing
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, or other relevant quality management systems
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
