Job SummaryAs a Project Lead, you will act as the “voice of the customer” in our Oldcastle Infrastructure facilities. You will manage all aspects of sales orders from point of sale to on‑site delivery, ensuring 100 % customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include coordinating engineering, scheduling production, structuring on‑site delivery, monitoring project costs, and maintaining compliance with contract documents.
Job LocationLexington, KY (office/plant).
Job Responsibilities- Serve as the main point of contact for customers and vendors on assigned sales orders.
- Manage multiple sales orders concurrently.
- Hold Turnover/Kick‑Off meetings at the point of sale to confirm documentation, scope, estimates, and schedule; align with “Customer Ship Date” in AX.
- Maintain continuous communication with the customer regarding production schedule and delivery.
- Provide direction and oversight of engineering, production planning, transportation, procurement, and accounting teams.
- Prepare change‑order proposals promptly for owner/engineer requests or internal OI generation.
- Monitor progress, proactively address issues, provide technical advice, and remove obstacles to keep projects on schedule.
- Promote continuous improvement of processes and systems.
- Coordinate site visits and resolve issues from point of sale through project completion, including change orders, schedule adjustments, and required purchase items.
- Manage submittals and approvals with customers as needed.
- Communicate delivery needs with the Transportation department and follow up as required.
- Collaborate with other project managers and the plant manager to manage long‑term schedule and minimize operational conflicts.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience;
Civil Engineering preferred. - 5+ years of Project Management experience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple large and small complex projects simultaneously.
- Intermediate to advanced MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to review and work from production schematics and engineering drawings.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience in the construction or precast concrete industry is a plus.
