Are you a self‑motivated Structural Engineer with a passion for innovation, sustainable design, and environmental responsibility? Join a leading design firm! GRW has a career opportunity available for an experienced Structural Engineer to serve a regional area of Kentucky and surrounding states. GRW is a full‑service engineering, architectural, and geospatial consulting firm. As a Structural Engineer, you will work closely with multidisciplinary colleagues on many kinds of projects.
Responsibilities- Provide structural design support for building, water and wastewater treatment, heavy industrial, commercial, and institutional facilities.
- Produce construction documents, including plans, sections, details in 2D & 3D, smart structural schedules, specifications, and estimates.
- Support water resources engineers with expertise in wastewater and water structure design.
- Apply BIM and CADD standards, build Revit models, and coordinate with analysis programs.
- BSCE with structural emphasis, MSCE preferred.
- Kentucky PE and SE with 5+ years’ experience in a consulting environment designing building structures.
- State registrations acquired either by existing registration or comity.
- LEED AP certification a plus.
- Design skills in steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and aluminum.
- Experience with water/wastewater treatment, heavy industrial, commercial, institutional facilities and buildings.
- Extensive material design code knowledge.
- Proficiency in producing construction documents, including plans, sections, details in 2D & 3D, smart structural schedules, specifications, and estimates.
- Knowledge of current industry BIM and National CADD standards.
- Knowledge of constructing structural Revit BIM analytical/physical models that can be round‑tripped to and from structural analysis programs.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, One Note, and One Drive.
- BIM modeling and drafting in Revit, Brics
CAD, and RAM Structural analysis/STAAD (or equivalent);
Micro Station desirable. - Project management abilities.
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills and ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with team members.
- High level of organizational and time‑management skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to meet deadlines.
