TheOpportunity
We are looking for a full-time Mechanical Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This person will engineer HVAC and/or plumbing systems, and go out to existing and new building work sites. The right candidate will be detail-oriented and able to communicate effectively with other design team members.
This is an in-office, full-time position with salary compensation and benefits.
Job Responsibilities- Take on growing responsibility designing commercial, medical, multi-family, and public building HVAC and/or plumbing systems.
- Work closely with other team members, 80% of your time doing engineering calculations and using Autodesk Revit for 3D HVAC or plumbing systems modeling, and 20% of your time on job sites for initial investigation or construction observations of these systems.
- Conduct existing building investigations and document existing mechanical systems.
- Occasionally assist in design meetings with architects, owners, and clients.
- Excellent listening skills to apply the training provided by senior engineers for design of mechanical building systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and checks own work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in Revit mechanical systems modeling and/or AutoCAD 2D drafting is beneficial.
- Able to manage time and multiple project priorities well.
- The ideal candidate will be a mechanical engineer with prior HVAC/plumbing systems engineering or installation experience, but this is not a requirement for hiring.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
