Mechanical Designer

We are currently searching for an experienced Mechanical Designer to support our Midwest Region located in Lexington, KY. This is a part‑time position.

To be considered for this position, applicants must have, at minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Interpret and analyze general design requirements provided by engineers, including piping and instrumentation diagrams, piping specifications, stress analysis recommendations, and equipment requirements
• Use theoretical and practical design knowledge of the oil and gas industry to design CAD 3D models for mechanical equipment and piping systems
• Review vendor equipment drawing packages and provide comments
• Obtain accurate field data using 3D scanning or manual measurement methods
• Manipulate point cloud data to generate as‑built 3D models
• Produce quality, constructible drawing packages per the project scope, including site plans, location plans, piping plans, sections and details, piping isometrics, pipe support details and tie‑in details, where applicable
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, client and company design and drafting standards, and industry‑accepted guidelines and best practices
• Perform quality control checks of the work of other designers and drafters
• Mentor and advise less‑experienced designers and drafters
• Plan and supervise work for designers and other drafting personnel
• Communicate and work closely with other disciplines with minimal supervision

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Two‑year drafting, design, or industry‑related technical degree from an accredited university or trade school preferred
• 10+ years of experience in drafting, 3D modeling and piping design required
• 5+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry preferred
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, CADWorx Plant and ISOGEN
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment
• Valid driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR)
