Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Responsible for partnering with a multidisciplinary team to develop electrical power system designs for construction projects across the country.

Responsibilities
  • Innovate project approach to optimize safety, schedule, and profitability.
  • Train and mentor less experienced engineers in technical and professional development.
  • Perform quality control reviews.
  • Support clients during construction.
  • Perform field inspections, compliance documentation, and factory acceptance testing.
  • Lead a team of electrical engineering professionals to ensure project success.
  • Present designs and proposals to clients, permitting authorities, and public interest groups.
  • Correspond with and/or meet with clients, contractors, and vendors.
  • Lead project proposal efforts.
  • Advance into leadership roles.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program (preferred).
  • 10+ years of related experience.
  • P.E. License or ability to acquire one.
  • Experience in AutoCAD electrical and Revit (preferred).
  • Ability to work methodically and analytically in a dynamic, quantitative problem‑solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency with the National Electrical Code.
  • Experience in electrical design and circuits.
  • Strong administrative, accounting, computer, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Knowledge of construction principles/practices and experience dealing with subcontracts and subcontractors.
  • Ability to build trust and influence others internally and externally.
  • Proficiency with National Electrical Safety Code and IEEE / ANSI Standards.
  • 10% travel required.
