About Amteck
Amteck is a nationally recognized Top 50 Electrical Design‑Build Contractor, with a people‑first culture, a commitment to safety, integrity, innovation, and customer satisfaction. Our team is expanding and we are looking for a Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Project Manager to lead VDC initiatives across a range of electrical design‑build projects.
The position is based out of our Lexington, KY headquarters or our Greenville, SC office.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the planning, execution, and oversight of VDC initiatives across construction projects.
- Develop project‑specific BIM execution plans, including Level of Detail (LOD) specifications and BIM standards.
- Manage project schedules and BIM hours, reviewing construction schedules periodically to ensure priorities are clear for the BIM team.
- Review new drawing releases to capture changes that may affect BIM efforts, helping to mitigate errors and rework in the field.
- Maintain relationships with stakeholders, facilitate communication, and ensure project requirements are met.
- Perform quality assurance of 3D models and other VDC deliverables using tools such as Navisworks, Liquid Cloud, and Open Space.
- Implement best practices, develop project‑specific VDC strategies, and drive process improvement.
- Oversee VDC workflows and standards, keeping the Trello Blue Board up to date.
- Review and manage installation drawings to ensure they meet company standards and project requirements, and submit them for approval.
- Assist in evaluating and implementing new VDC technologies and workflows to improve project efficiency and productivity.
- Assist in setting up models for new projects.
- Understanding of BIM/VDC principles and workflows.
- Experience in project planning and scheduling.
- Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders and facilitate collaboration.
- Leadership experience, including mentoring teams and enforcing safety protocols.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Excellent time‑management skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience using 3D installation‑tracking software such as Open Space and Assemble.
- Proficiency with software programs including Trello, Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
