Support Services (SOF GLSS) is seeking a
Supplier Quality Engineer Senior to support
supply chain processes across all aircraft, vehicle
and life cycle sustainment management
programs.
The SOF GLSS program is critical to the success
of US service women and men deployed
throughout the world. Our mission is to rapidly
and properly equip the SOF community and its
war fighters with the best possible systems and
equipment anywhere in the world.
As the Supplier Quality Engineer Senior, the
successful candidate supports the supply chain
process through the life cycle of a program. This
role supports all functions with ongoing process
improvement/efficiencies within the supply
chain.
The successful candidate contributes to success
of the mission by completing diverse tasks:
* Development of RFPs, complex statements of
work, evaluation criteria, and source selection
criteria
* Drive mission success at suppliers
* Review engineering documents and inspect
hardware
* Lead root cause and corrective action activities
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives
* Apply data analytics to expose quality concerns

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access and is in direct support of a U.S. government contract that requires a company-sponsored clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a technical discipline (e.g., engineering field) or equivalent discipline (e.g., math, physics, chemistry, etc.)
* Ability to interpret drawings, specifications,
purchase orders, contracts and statements of
work, etc. as needed to verify compliance of
supplier-provided data
* Experience processing nonconforming material
* Experience driving root cause analysis and
effective corrective actions
* Able to read and interpret engineering
documents (drawings, manufacturing work
instructions, test procedures, etc.)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications:
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
* Skill to handle multiple challenging priorities with rapid job closure while engaging with
diverse customers and situations
* Thorough and detail-oriented focus with strong
analytical skills
* Excellent communication skills and able to
develop rapport with the teams and external
customers
* Ability to work at multiple sites and travel
* Can support a flexible schedule including
exchanging weekdays for weekend days

Desired
Skills:
* Knowledge of procurement processes and
regulations under DoD
* Experience with SAP/P2P Purchasing System or
similar ERP
* Versed in FAR/DFAR requirements
* Demonstrated subcontract experience to
include development of RFP's, complex
statements of work, evaluation criteria, and
source selection criteria
* Demonstrated experience with QA across the
life cycle of a program
* Knowledge of the AS9100 Quality Management
System
