Gray Construction is looking to add a VDC Coordinator II to their growing team in Lexington, KY!
ResponsibilitiesThe primary role of the VDC Coordinator II is to facilitate the successful implementation of BIM (Building Information Modeling), technology and the related processes. The VDC Coordinator II is a key position in the VDC group, focused on managing and producing models and providing technology‑related services and knowledge to Operations, Marketing, Preconstruction, and Business Acquisition departments.
The VDC Coordinator II creates, obtains, evaluates, coordinates, and distributes 3D and 4D BIM models for use by construction. The role works as part of the Gray teams, interacting with owners, architects and engineers to facilitate collaboration and communication during preconstruction through the use of BIM/VDC processes. It also works with subcontractors, architects and software vendors to facilitate collaboration and communication during construction through the use of BIM/VDC processes.
QualificationsWho we want… (Requirements)
The new team member is required to have a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a degree from a Technical College; has 2–5 years in the AEC industry; experience in the Field and/or MEP is a bonus. Must have knowledge of Autodesk Design Suite; knowledge of programs such as Assemble, Fuzor and similar programs are a bonus. A basic understanding of construction principles is required.
Must possess basic computer skills including the ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite and e‑mail. The selected candidate will have excellent communication and problem‑solving skills. Capable of independent thought and work. Must be physically present in the Lexington, KY area. Our projects are nationwide, and travel may be required.

Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this position, the team member is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands or arms and talk or hear. They may occasionally be required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision. Generally, the normal office environment has a moderate noise level and controlled temperature/humidity.
