Summer Internship Program: Environmental, Health, and Safety; EHS Intern at Takeda Pharma

Job Description

Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) is responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable EHS regulations, corporate standards, and for maintaining the site’s EHS management system. The team focuses on reducing EHS risks and supports site functions by assessing risk, identifying non‑compliance, and providing recommendations to mitigate risk.

• Support EHS programs to ensure compliance with regulations, best practices, and corporate standards.
• Work with other departments to improve data integrity and compile metrics for internal or corporate reporting.
• Support investigations of EHS incidents to determine causes, help establish corrective actions, and recommend improvements.
• Develop and deliver EHS training to all personnel as required.
• Gather and manage data related to EHS programs, collaborating with other departments, consultants, and contractors.
• Participate in EHS projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Learn to work as part of a professional technical support team.
• Learn how to assess risk and propose effective controls.

• Pursuing a Bachelors Degree in an EHS discipline such as environmental sciences.
• Ability to create an inclusive and diverse workplace culture.

• Authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without sponsorship.
• Currently enrolled in a degree program with a graduation date of December 2026 or later.
• Must be able to commit to a 10–12 week internship in either of the two time frames:
  May 26th–August 14th or June 15th–August 21st.
• Must be able to work full time (40 hours a week) during internship dates.

Hourly wage range: $21.00 – $46.00. Benefits may include paid sick time, civic duty paid time off, participation in company volunteer events, company-sponsored special events, and access to an on-site fitness center where available. A commuter benefit subsidy may be provided for public transportation or parking.
