- Sr. Electrical Design Engineer Responsibilities
- Collect and organize all of the bid information documents from the General Contractor(s)
- Evaluate the bid documents and determine the best methods and strategies for design with assistance from the engineering manager/pre-construction manager
- Provide bid information as needed to the appropriate design services providers
- Perform preliminary Designs
- Provide the estimating team with all known bid breakdown requirements
- Evaluate all quoted items for accuracy
- Organize the bid documents
- Coordinate with the pre-construction manager to follow-up with the client until the bid is won or lost
- BS in Electrical Engineering (preferred)
- Proficient with AutoCAD Electrical and Revit
- Ability to understand, interpret and troubleshoot customer needs and problems
- Experienced in electrical design and circuits
- Strong administrative, accounting, and computer skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels
- Knowledge of construction principles/practices required
- Experience dealing with subcontracts, subcontractors
- Ability to build trust and influence others internally and externally
- % travel required
