We do this by delivering a novel electrochemical technology that separates and recovers dissolved metals fromprocessandwastewater streams.
We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer who will support the design, development, and continuous improvement of our wastewater treatment systems and components. This entry-level role will focus on creating detailed 3D models and drawings in Solid Works, supporting production, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and quality. This position will be located at our Headquarters in Lexington, Kentucky.
Core Responsibilities
:
- Develop 3D CAD models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using Solid Works
- Assistin the design of tooling, fixtures, and custom mechanical components for manufacturing processes
- Work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure designs meetmanufacturability and performance requirements
- Support prototype and production builds, testing, and validation activities
- Revise and maintain engineering documentation, BOMs, and drawing revisions
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance andreduce costs
- Troubleshoot design-related issues on the shop floor and implement design improvements
Qualifications
:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineeringor related field
- 0–2 years of experience (internship or co-op acceptable)
- Proficiency with Solid Works or other 3D CAD software
- Understanding of manufacturing processes (machining,plumbing,fabrication, assembly)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T basics
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Experience in the water industry is a plus
- Experience in process controls a plus
- Experience in fluid dynamics a plus
- Hands-on experience in a manufacturing or shop environment is a plus
