We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer who will support the design, development, and continuous improvement of our wastewater treatment systems and components. This entry-level role will focus on creating detailed 3D models and drawings in Solid Works, supporting production, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and quality. This position will be located at our Headquarters in Lexington, Kentucky.

Core Responsibilities
:

• Develop 3D CAD models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using Solid Works

• Assistin the design of tooling, fixtures, and custom mechanical components for manufacturing processes

• Work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure designs meetmanufacturability and performance requirements

• Support prototype and production builds, testing, and validation activities

• Revise and maintain engineering documentation, BOMs, and drawing revisions

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance andreduce costs

• Troubleshoot design-related issues on the shop floor and implement design improvements

Qualifications
:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineeringor related field

• 0–2 years of experience (internship or co-op acceptable)

• Proficiency with Solid Works or other 3D CAD software

• Understanding of manufacturing processes (machining,plumbing,fabrication, assembly)

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T basics

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Effective communication and teamwork skills

• Experience in the water industry is a plus

• Experience in process controls a plus

• Experience in fluid dynamics a plus

• Hands-on experience in a manufacturing or shop environment is a plus
