A well-established manufacturer in Central Ohio is hiring an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician for their production facility. This is a great fit for anyone with a strong background in industrial electrical systems, PLCs, and machine controls who wants to work for a company that takes care of its people.

What You'll Do
  • Adhere to all safety procedures including LOTO and arc flash
  • Maintain accuracy of electrical schematics
  • Design, install, and implement new control systems, and redesign equipment to eliminate recurring issues
  • Troubleshoot web guiding, dust collection, metal detection, elastic unwind, ultrasonic bonding, CIJ printing, machine communication networks, stretch wrapping, spooling/despooling, hotmelt adhesive, packaging equipment, and AC/DC motor systems
  • Troubleshoot and modify Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC programs
  • Troubleshoot and modify motion control programs
  • Troubleshoot HMIs, marquees, and vision inspection equipment hardware
  • Support multi-discipline manufacturing processes with machinery and equipment maintenance
  • Perform repairs, calibration, and preventative maintenance on electro-mechanical equipment
  • Perform daily electrical audits
  • Represent the E&I team in Safety Meetings as needed
What You Bring
  • Associate degree or higher, or Military Training plus manufacturing experience,
  • Ability to read and update building and machine control electrical schematics
  • Experience bending and installing conduit up to 3/4"
  • Background in plant electrical and mechanical systems
  • Experience with electro-mechanical equipment and analytical troubleshooting
  • Experience using oscilloscopes, chart recorders, and thermal imaging cameras
  • Experience with material web guides
  • Experience with CIJ printing systems
  • Experience with ultrasonic bonding technologies
  • Experience troubleshooting machine communication networks including Device Net, Control Net, Profibus, Ethernet, DH+, and ASI
  • Experience using PLC systems and software for troubleshooting, including Siemens and Allen Bradley platforms
