Role: Mechanical Design Engineer (Equity / Stockholder Track)
Location: Lexington, KY
Compensation & Perks: $100,000 – $125,000 (Negotiable based on experience) + Sign-On Bonus + Full Benefits + Shareholder Pathway
The OpportunityA premier, multidisciplinary engineering and architectural consulting firm with over six decades of industry leadership is hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer
. This high-impact role offers direct ownership across large-scale commercial, municipal, and regional infrastructure projects, paired with a defined leadership pathway to company ownership/stockholder status.
- Lead mechanical building systems design across HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and automated controls.
- Collaborate closely with in-house architectural, electrical, structural, and water resources teams on multidisciplinary builds.
- Manage full-cycle project workflows: scope planning, resource allocation, budgeting, and client relationships.
- Perform lifecycle cost analyses and advanced HVAC simulations using Revit and AutoCAD.
- BS in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
- 5–10+ years designing mechanical systems within a consulting engineering environment.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to secure PE licensure/state reciprocity within 6 months.
- Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and HVAC computer modeling software.
- Strong client management aptitude and interest in technical business development.
