Lexington, KY
Salary: $14.00/hour (part-time student)
Shift: Varies; 7:30 AM – 12:00 AM;
Sunday through Saturday;
Weekday daytime and occasional weekend availability preferred;
Summer availability required, IN PERSON.
- Become fully integrated with Smart Campus initiatives.
- Work closely with Smart Campus initiative leaders and team members.
- Communicate and coordinate efficiently with internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop an understanding of the basics of project management and event planning.
- Work on-site at events, providing support for set‑up and breakdown.
- Develop and pitch creative ideas that increase student engagement with Smart Campus initiatives, including esports events, workshops, social media content, and other interactive experiences.
- Track social media metrics, online brand presence, event attendance, and feedback using applicable tools.
- Use collected data to develop and improve future events.
- Gather feedback from events and other activations to help improve student engagement.
- Perform esports lounge attendant operations, including Guest Relations: greet and assist visitors; provide tours and front‑desk support; address questions and ensure guest safety.
- Facility Maintenance: keep key areas clean, organized, and secure; report maintenance needs; safeguard equipment.
- Technical proficiency: provide basic tech support for esports and Smart Campus equipment.
- General Duties: ensure safety and contribute ideas to grow a healthy community through each of our endeavors.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- N/A required related experience.
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Detail‑oriented with a focus on supporting operational efficiency.
- Basic technological proficiency.
- Eagerness to learn and develop new ideas.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience or familiarity with event coordination.
- Physical capability to lift and carry 25 pounds, stand for long periods, walk to various locations, possibly outdoors and upstairs.
- Must be available in‑person on shift schedule.
