Customer Service Rep
Job Summary
This position is responsible for supporting internal and external customers by processing part orders, creating purchase orders for technicians in the field and sourcing parts through different vendors to exceed customer expectations. The Parts Specialist will build long‑lasting relationships with customers, explore their needs and expectations, provide specific measurable goals, and achieve results within a customer's expected timeframe.
Responsibilities- Support technicians by processing parts orders in a timely manner.
- Answer parts telephone calls and welcome walk‑in customers promptly and courteously.
- Assist customers by researching parts from manufacturer parts manuals.
- Prepare parts quotes; once approved, enter orders into computer.
- Operate professionally and courteously to exceed customer expectations in presentation and communication.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, one to two years of experience in a parts department, basic technical knowledge of automotive or forklift components, and proficient knowledge of Microsoft products including Outlook and Office 365. The candidate will effectively source purchases from online or catalogue inventory, requiring excellent verbal and written communication skills, and will maintain confidentiality and sensitive information.
