Job DescriptionThe Operations Finance Manager partners closely with operations and executive leadership to drive financial visibility and performance across utility construction projects. This role combines strong financial leadership with hands‑on expertise in financial reporting, job cost analysis, and operational decision support. This role will support the accounting close responsibilities of the operation and report to the Director of Regional Services.
A high-quality candidate will be proficient in all aspects of financial reporting, GAAP accounting, job costing, expense analysis and accruals, budgets and forecasts, and presenting actionable insights based on analysis.
Responsibilities- Partner with operations and project management teams to manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance across utility construction projects.
- Monitor WIP, labor productivity, job tracking, and earned revenues
- Monitor indirect operational expenses
- Design, build, and maintain financial and operational reports through the use of SQL-based reporting and BI tools.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, scorecards and dashboards.
- Ensuring accounting/financial close deadlines are met.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field. CPA or MBA preferred
- 7+ years of experience in accounting, finance, FP&A, or operations finance. Accounting/Finance leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Construction industry experience preferred.
- Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis skills
- Demonstrated experience creating financial reports using SQL reporting or BI tools.
- Strong understanding of job costing, WIP, and project-based financials.
- Advanced Excel skills
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.

Compensation: $115,000-$125,000/year
