Position Overview

Siemens Mobility is looking to hire a Finance Data Analyst for our Lexington, NC plant, which is part of the Rolling Stock division in Manufacturing North America. This position reports to the Factory Controller in Lexington, NC, and involves the oversight and reporting of factory cost centers, including cost recoveries. Additionally, you will establish processes and procedures for the business controlling area.

The role will be based in Lexington, NC, and offers a hybrid work schedule.

What your day-to-day will look like
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, KPI reporting, and analytics tools to support Finance and cross‑functional business operations.
  • Perform data analysis and reporting to support strategic decision‑making, operational performance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and transparency of financial and operational data across reporting platforms.
  • Drive process improvements, automation, and digitalization initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency and self‑service analytics capabilities.
  • Partner with Finance, IT, and business teams to improve data governance, reporting standards, and enterprise analytics tools.
  • Support monthly forecasting, budgeting, closing activities, and variance analysis related to manufacturing and operational performance.
  • Assist with financial controlling activities, including cost tracking, CAPEX management, accounts payable support, and factory performance analysis.
To thrive in this role, you have
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in controlling, finance, or data/finance analytics.
  • Strong analytical skills with a good understanding of financial and operational KPIs.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., complex formulas, data analysis, Power Query).
  • Hands‑on experience or strong interest in data visualization and dashboarding tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and a general understanding of data structures and business processes.
  • Ability to collect, structure, and analyze large datasets, with attention to data quality and consistency.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present data and insights clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.

The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
