Finance Manager, Operational Performance
Base salary target: $120K–$130K plus bonus & comprehensive benefits package
About the Opportunity
A multi-site production and distribution organization is looking for a finance leader to support operational planning, performance analysis, and plant-level financial management. This role partners directly with operations stakeholders to improve visibility into business performance, strengthen forecasting accuracy, and support long-term operational efficiency initiatives.
This position is highly collaborative and suited for someone comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment where financial insight directly influences operational decision-making.
Core Areas of Responsibility
- Lead financial planning activities related to operational and production functions
- Develop reporting packages that provide visibility into business performance metrics and operational trends
- Support strategic initiatives through financial modeling and business case analysis
- Analyze operating results and identify drivers impacting cost, productivity, and profitability
- Partner with leadership teams on forecasting, spending controls, and resource planning
- Improve existing reporting workflows and implement scalable analytical processes
- Monitor operational financial performance and communicate risks and opportunities to leadership
- Participate in capital planning and investment evaluation activities
- Ensure alignment with financial controls, reporting standards, and internal governance practices
- Mentor junior finance staff and coordinate deliverables across multiple business partners
- Assist with process improvement and margin enhancement initiatives across the organization
- Contribute to special projects and enterprise-wide finance initiatives as needed
Preferred Background
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline
- Advanced degree or professional certification preferred but not required
- Several years of experience supporting operations, supply chain, manufacturing, or industrial finance functions
- Strong analytical mindset with experience interpreting operational and financial data
- Advanced spreadsheet and reporting tool proficiency
- Experience working cross-functionally with operational leadership teams
- Ability to manage competing priorities and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders
