POSITION OVERVIEWJob Summary - Leads, maintains, analyzes and verifies financial records and preparation of general ledger transactions, flux analysis, reconciliations, financial and statistical reports.
Roles and Responsibilities
:
- Leads month-end close activities for assigned campus locations, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Ensures the accuracy and completeness of financial results through review of income statement and balance sheet activity during the monthly close process.
- Prepares and/or reviews journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations to support the monthly close process.
- Analyzes revenue, margin, and expense fluctuations versus budget or prior periods and provides clear explanations for key drivers.
- Present monthly financial results to operational leaders and provides insights into financial performance, margin trends, and cost drivers.
- Collaborates with FP&A, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Revenue Cycle, and Financial Reporting teams to support accurate financial reporting and operational decision-making.
- Ensures adherence to GAAP, internal accounting policies, and internal controls while supporting internal and external audit requests.
- Owns the end-to-end accounting for complex projects, initiatives, or lines of business.
- Utilizes advanced excel and general ledger ERP system (Oracle) capabilities to manipulate and analyze large data sets.
- Serves as a resource for Staff Accountants, providing guidance on journal entries, reconciliations, Oracle platform, and Excel.

Qualifications
- Education:
Bachelor Degree - Experience:
5-8 years
Licenses and Certifications
CPA or CPA eligibility preferred
Physical Requirements
Sitting, standing, bending, reaching, stretching, stooping, walking, and moving intermittently during working hours. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs. Must be able to maintain verbal and written communication with co-workers, supervisors, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and all business associates outside of the health campus.
