We are currently looking for a Universal Banker to join our Lexington branch team.
Job SummaryOur Universal Bankers provide quality customer service and promote NASB’s products, services, and thoughtful solutions to make banking easy for our customers.
Responsibilities- Provide outstanding customer service, greet each customer as they enter the bank, answer the phone promptly, and take ownership of each interaction; this includes supporting the mortgage sales team by making referrals.
- Assist customers in selecting accounts and financial services, administer accounts, and contribute to retention while achieving branch sales and service goals.
- Resolve problems, issues, or questions to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a positive, friendly, and professional attitude.
- Assist with branch level marketing activities and promotions.
- Perform applicable daily operations, including opening new accounts, cash controls, balancing, fraud prevention, handling customer transactions, and completing CIP requirements.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures, including BSA/AML compliance.
- High school diploma, GED, or foreign equivalent required; college degree or military equivalent preferred.
- One year of experience in a Retail or Sales environment engaging with customers and making product recommendations, leading to sales, or relevant experience required.
- Credit and background checks will be required.
- Ability to work branch hours Monday - Friday and alternating Saturday mornings.
- Ability to learn products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately.
- Financial management and responsibility skills.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to adapt NASB products/services to customer needs in person and over the phone.
- Basic math skills, including the ability to solve problems and identify currency denominations.
- Time management and organizational skills; detail-oriented and thorough.
- Bilingual desired but not required.
- Sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.
