Senior Associate – Portfolio Finance

Location: Lexington, KY (Full-Time In-Office)
Compensation: $110,000–$130,000 base + bonus

A leading private equity firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Portfolio Finance team in Lexington, KY. This individual will work closely with portfolio company CFOs, investment teams, and senior leadership to strengthen financial reporting, improve processes, and support strategic initiatives across the portfolio.

• Oversee financial reporting and performance across 3–5 portfolio companies
• Review monthly financials, cash flow forecasts, budgets, and management reporting
• Partner with CFOs to improve close, reporting, and finance processes
• Support acquisition due diligence, integrations, and exit readiness
• Provide financial analysis to investment teams and senior leadership
• Prepare financial materials for Board meetings
• Support finance systems and process improvements

• 6+ years of experience in accounting, finance, transaction advisory, or consulting
• Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with senior executives
• Private equity, transaction, or portfolio company experience is a plus
• Familiarity with IRR, MOIC, DPI, or fund accounting is beneficial
