Job SummaryThe Psychology Post-Doctoral Fellow will work under the direction of a Licensed Psychologist to provide supervised psychological services in an inpatient recovery setting. Services include forensic evaluations, individual and group psychotherapy, psychological assessment, crisis intervention, behavior support services, consultation, and education to patients with mental illness.
Responsibilities- Conduct forensic evaluations as ordered.
- Provide individual and group therapy, conduct psychological testing, testify in court or complete petitions or certifications for extended hospitalization.
- Consult with the treatment team on mental health issues, including treatment recommendations and diagnostic impressions.
- Partner and collaborate with management and other disciplines to ensure compliance with federal, state, local rules, regulations, laws, and hospital policies and procedures.
- Participate in goal of restraint‑free patient environment, identify and communicate opportunities for improvement, and maintain high level of patient satisfaction related to services.
- Maintain Professional and Technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing professional networks, participating in professional societies, and completing required annual training within established time frames.
- Work directly with clinical and non‑clinical staff to resolve patient problems and service issues, facilitating communication of the philosophy of a customer‑focused environment and the expectation of service excellence.
- Doctoral degree (PhD, PsyD) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology.
- Eligible for licensure as a Licensed Psychologist (temporary) prior to hire date; one year of experience preferred, pre‑doctoral internship experience accepted.
- Experience in forensic evaluations, individual and group therapy, psychological testing, and crisis intervention.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and basic computer navigation skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Internet.
- Compassionate, honest, trustworthy, and strong work ethic; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- No supervisory responsibilities.

- Excellent communication skills with staff, patients, and families.
- Ability to handle average‑weight objects up to 25 pounds and sit for long periods.
