Staffing Coordinator (Med Tech Preferred)
Location: New Lebanon Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: TBD (may include weekends/holidays as needed)
New Lebanon Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Full-Time Staffing Coordinator to oversee daily staffing and scheduling operations to ensure excellent resident care and appropriate coverage across departments. The Staffing Coordinator will work closely with nursing leadership and department managers to manage schedules, fill open shifts, support staffing needs, and maintain compliance with staffing policies.
Med Tech experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities- Create, maintain, and update employee schedules for nursing and/or other designated departments
- Ensure appropriate staffing coverage based on census, acuity, and facility needs
- Coordinate shift coverage for call-offs, PTO requests, and open positions
- Communicate schedule changes promptly and professionally to staff and leadership
- Support staffing plans for weekends, holidays, and special facility needs
- Track attendance, tardiness, and call-offs and report trends to leadership
- Maintain accurate scheduling records in the facility’s scheduling/timekeeping system
- Assist with onboarding scheduling needs for new hires and orientation
- Collaborate with HR and leadership regarding staffing gaps and recruitment needs
- Support compliance with facility policies, state requirements, and internal staffing guidelines
- Serve as a professional resource for staff questions related to scheduling and shift availability
- High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate’s degree preferred)
- Experience in healthcare scheduling or staffing strongly preferred
- Long-term care experience preferred
- Med Tech experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage frequent schedule changes, and work independently
- Strong communication skills and professionalism with staff at all levels
- Proficiency with scheduling systems and basic computer skills (Excel/Outlook helpful)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information
