Job SummaryThe Radka Laboratory studies bacterial lipid metabolism in the microbiome, and the mechanisms that connect bacterial lipids to health or disease.
We are located in the Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics Department of the College of Medicine, and are seeking a highly motivated and creative Technologist to assist in the research and testing of bacterial lipids that antagonize mammalian immune systems.
The Technologist will help develop this new effort that will interface with world‑class research programs within the University of Kentucky. The Technologist will perform experiments and play a key role in data collection, analysis, and visualization.
The successful candidate will be someone who can communicate effectively, is an analytical thinker, takes initiative, does not mind being hands on and can adapt to evolving needs. Prior laboratory experience is preferred but not required.
