Required License/Registration/Certification
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) at time of hire;
Basic Life Support certification via AHA within 90 days of hire, MRI registry within one year of hire
The MRI Technologist will be responsible for performing Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures in accordance with standards and practice set forth by ARRT and Department Policies and Procedures; and will demonstrate a knowledge of the human structure and functions, patient care, positioning, principles of electromagnetic and computer sciences, magnetic protection, and specialized techniques. The individual in this role is expected to be able to apply appropriate patient care and recognize patient conditions essential for successful completion of procedures.
An MRI Technologist at UKHC must be a graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology, hold a Radiation Operator Certificate from the Kentucky Radiation Operators program, and be registered and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Will also require MRI registration through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within one year of hire date and candidate must be CPR certified/hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
Compensation& Benefits
The starting pay for this position was recently adjusted. The minimum hourly rate for this position will now be $30.10/hour. All pay rates will be based on candidate’s experience.
This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus: $10,000 for new graduates (less than one year of experience) and $20,000 for candidates with one or more years of experience, contingent upon an 18-month employment commitment. Further details will be discussed during the hiring process.
