Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 1-3 years of IR experience and proficiency in vascular interventional radiology procedures.
Responsibilities- Interventional Radiology unit within an acute care hospital setting
- Procedures include interventional neuro, vascular, and CT/US-guided interventions
- 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday with one rotating day off per week
- Shift hours from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
- 1-2 call shifts per week and 1 weekend call per 6 weeks
- The rotating day off is typically scheduled following a call shift
- Preferred experience with Epic, Siemens single and bi-plane equipment, and McKesson PACS
- Responsibilities include assisting physicians with interventional neuro, vascular, and CT/US-guided procedures
- Candidates whose permanent residence is within 100 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of submission; RTO requests made after submission will not be approved
- ARRT(R) certification required
- Current BLS required
- RTR or RTRVI certification required
- KY Radiation Operator's License required prior to start date - license required if applicable
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in Interventional Radiology (IR) required
- Demonstrated skill in vascular interventional radiology (VIR) required
- Proficiency in scrubbing as first assist to physician, circulating, filming, and charging exams in Epic
- 2 supervisory references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration
