• Physical Requirements: Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds, or standing/walking and sitting for long periods of time.

• Shift: Monday – Friday, Day Shift; primarily 7:45 am – 4:45 pm (40 hrs/wk); other hours/schedules as needed
• Location note: This position is located off-campus in Lexington, KY at UKHC Turfland.
• Orientation: Orientation is tailored to your individual needs and lasts about 8-10 weeks.

• Turfland Family and Community Medicine RN role is an autonomous and team-oriented role in ambulatory.
• Work with 2 other RNs performing telephone and in-person triage, IVs, sterile procedures, central line access.
• See patients in the nurse clinic, patient education, wound care, rooming patients, phlebotomy, injections, preventative screenings, immunizations, quality care coordination.
• Support quality care initiatives in Primary Care and contribute to an engaged team.
• Provide disease-specific patient care to patients with serious acute and/or chronic health events or seeking healthcare to maintain wellness, including skilled assessments, care plans and care plan implementation, patient education, and clinical evaluation or interventions.
• Work with medical professionals under time and efficiency constraints in a busy ambulatory care setting with a patient-centered focus on quality, safety, and service.
• Utilize enterprise, nursing, departmental policies, protocols, and procedures to be successful.
