Job Details:

• 2 years of recent experience required

• EPIC experience is required

• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH (prior to assignment)

• Nurse to patient ratios 1:4-5

• Must have experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias

• O2 protocol management and non-invasive airway management

• Management of drips and peripheral line care/management

• Central line care/management and blood product administration

• Isolation precaution/PPE and computerized documentation

• Rapid response team activation experience

• Fast-paced environment due to quick turnover in admissions and discharges

• Primary department for Bariatric Surgery and Urology patients (typically 24-48 hour stays)

• Medical patients with short stays (3-6 days) with various diagnoses

• 11 beds close Friday 7pm and reopen Monday 7am, requiring heavier weekday staffing

• Float to different units may be required

• License in hand or compact required at submission

• Must be more than 75 miles from facility to be eligible as traveler

This healthcare facility operates a 30-bed telemetry unit that provides specialized care for bariatric surgery and urology patients, as well as general medical patients. The unit offers a fast-paced learning environment with quick patient turnover and a wide variety of patient diagnoses, typically resulting in successful outcomes. The facility maintains a great learning atmosphere where most patients are ambulatory and able to participate actively in their care planning and goals.
