Currently, in Lexington, we need an ABI Companion in zip code 40517. You must be available to work:

Monday 6:00 am - 11:00 am & 1:00 pm-8:00 pm

Tuesday 6:00 am - 8:00 pm

Thursday 6:00 am- 8:00 pm

• Hours and Days may be flexible

Also, you must be able to drive to Louisville ONE TIME for Orientation, which is paid.

Must have a High School Diploma or GED that you can provide for us to have on file.

Day in the life of our ABI Companions...

• ABI Companion Caregivers are really just that, companions. When they first arrive, they might do a safety check, help prepare meals, or pick out clothes for the day. You are a friend that plays games, runs errands, cleans up, and genuinely tries to make someone smile. Sometimes, you may help our Participant bathe, get dressed, and brush their hair and teeth.
  
  You help them stay safe with medication reminders and general mobility around the house. Some of our ABI Companions have certifications like CNA, HHA, or PCA, but those are not required.

People who make great ABI Companions...

If you have experience caring for a family member or have been a full-time parent or homemaker, you can be a great ABI Companion Caregiver. If you worked in an assisted living facility, Skilled Nursing, Senior Home, or Senior Center as a Caretaker, you are just who we need. If you have been a teacher, child care worker, or you're retired and want to give back, this could be perfect for you.

We want to talk to you if you have certifications like Certified Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aid, and Personal Care Aid. We look forward to hearing from you!
