The RoleWe’re looking for a precise, knowledgeable Compounding Pharmacist to create customized, high-quality medications for our patients. You’ll be a key driver in patient care, utilizing your expertise in sterile and non-sterile compounding to deliver tailored pharmaceutical solutions safely and effectively.
What You’ll Do- Prepare Meds: Formulate, compound, and dispense sterile and/or non-sterile preparations according to specific prescriber orders.
- Maintain Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to USP guidelines, FDA regulations, Kentucky State Board rules, and internal QA/QC protocols.
- Lead the Team: Supervise, train, and review the work of compounding pharmacy technicians.
- Consult & Collaborate: Partner with doctors, veterinarians, and patients to determine optimal formulations, dosages, and administration techniques.
- Manage Lab Operations: Oversee ingredient inventory, cleanroom maintenance, environmental monitoring, and equipment calibration.
- Education: Pharm.
D. or B.S. in Pharmacy from an accredited institution. - License: Active, unencumbered Pharmacist license in Kentucky.
- Experience: 1–2+ years of hands-on sterile and/or non-sterile compounding experience preferred.
- Knowledge: Deep familiarity with USP regulations.
- Bonus: Specialty compounding certifications (PCCA, ACA, or sterile compounding credentials) are a strong plus!
