American Traveler is hiring a Sleep Technologist to perform polysomnographic testing and scoring, requiring RPSGT certification and completion of a CAAHEP or STAR-designated Polysomnography Program.

Requirements
  • Minimum of 6 months experience working as a Polysomnographic Technologist
  • Completion of a CAAHEP or STAR-designated Polysomnography Program
  • Current BLS certification
  • Must be a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)
  • License required if applicable
  • Strong knowledge of sleep disorders and testing procedures
  • Must maintain a minimum of 10 continuing education hours annually
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong multi-tasking and time management abilities
Responsibilities
  • Sleep Diagnostic Center setting
  • Five-day work week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Responsible for scoring sleep studies and conducting daytime testing such as MSLT and MWT
  • Performs home sleep testing preparation and patient education
  • Assists with authorizations and registration as backup support
  • Perform comprehensive polysomnographic testing and analysis under Medical Director or Manager oversight
  • Generate detailed summary reports for Medical Staff review to confirm diagnosis
  • Perform daytime polysomnographic procedures including PSG for third shift workers, MSLTs, and MWTs
  • Apply electrodes and sensors for in-lab studies and perform PAP mask fitting
  • Prepare, calibrate, and maintain testing equipment
  • Follow protocols for NPSG, PAP titrations, MSLT, MWT, parasomnia studies, and oxygen titration
  • Document clinical observations, sleep states, and events to support accurate scoring and interpretation
  • May assist in training and providing oversight to staff
  • Serves as a resource for providers during clinic hours
  • Care provided to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
  • Candidates must reside within 75 miles of the facility; local candidates accepted at a lower rate
